At the center of the mesmerizing rolling fields, lived a shepherd boy. His life was essentially pure, website and unsophisticated. His main role was to tend to his flock of ewes.

The boy giggled at the confusion on their faces. This trick continued for a couple of more days. But, one noon, a real wolf actually attack the grazing sheep. The shepherd boy raced for aid shouting “Wolf, Wolf!” But this time, no one came.

Frustrated and alone, the boy struggled against the wolf but managed to rescue only few of his sheep. Devastated, he returned to the town only to be met with a reprimand on honesty and the consequences of false alarms.

The story of this shepherd boy has been handed down generations as a mediaeval parable for teaching the importance of honesty, the consequences of lying and the risks of crying wolf. Moreover, it highlights how trust once broken, is difficult to regain. It's a story as relevant today as it was anciently.
